Henry Sr.
August 30, 1938 – April 25, 2026
Mr. Odis Henry, Sr. was born on August 30, 1938, to the late Louie and Sallie (Holliday) Henry. He was raised in the Lake Hall community and attended Leon County Schools.
Mr. Henry worked for the Coca-Cola Plant, Gulf Service Station, Firestone, Montgomery Wards Automotive, and the Leon County School Board, where he dedicated many years of hard work and service.
Later in life, Mr. Odis Henry, Sr. met and married the late Larich Henry. Their union was blessed with 50 years of love, commitment, and companionship.
In October 2004, Mr. Henry accepted Christ and joined Mt. Pleasant P.B. Church (Lake Hall), where he served faithfully as a dedicated member of the Usher Board.
Known affectionately as “the mechanic,” Mr. Henry was the one everyone called to fix cars. His passion for automobiles began as a young boy in the Lake Hall community. He enjoyed drag racing, rebuilding engines, and helping family, friends, and even strangers along the roadside. His willingness to lend a helping hand left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Mr. Odis Henry, Sr. leaves to cherish his memories his five children: Jacquelyn Gaston (Anthony), Debra Oliver, Delietrice Henry (Richard Ferguson), Odis Henry, Jr. (Anissa), and Rodney “Eric” Henry (Ba’Shaun); two brothers, Louie Henry, Jr. (late Flora Mae) and Willie Henry (Kasandra); nine grandchildren: Antoine Roberts, Andre Gaston, Katryce Williams Harrison (DerRon), Reshard Ferguson(DeAmber) , Alysia Ferguson, Amayia Henry, Rodney Henry, II, Ryan Henry, and Coy Henry; along with seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of neices, nephews and friends.
