Dec 16, 1939 — Jul 29, 2026

Crawfordville

“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:6-7 Margie was born on December 16, 1939 in Crawfordville, Fl. On July 29, 2026 at the age of 86, she peacefully departed this life in Big Bend Hospice at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare in Tallahassee, Fl. Margie was the daughter of the late Lula Mae Johnson and Nathaniel Williams. She was an only child. Her parents both preceded her in death. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a long time member of her home Church, Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Crawfordville, Fl. in Wakulla County. Upon her death she was a member in good standing. She worked on the Mother’s Board and did whatever was necessary to help with the building and upkeep of the Church. She enjoyed working with children and youth. Her early education was in the Wakulla County School System. She attended and graduated from high school. After high school, she extended her education by attending and graduating from college. On December 19, 1955, she married the love of her life, Reverend Dr. Vincent Leroy McCutcheon. Her husband, who preceded her in death served for several years as the pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in East Chicago, Indiana. There she served as First Lady working as Youth Director and continuing her hard work for the Lord in such programs improving the lives of children and youth. Serving and teaching youth was her passion. After her husband’s death and after retiring, she returned home to Wakulla County. She had worked more than twenty years as an Employment Specialist working with individuals to get and maintain employment. Margie will be missed for her ability to work with young people, her calm and meek personality when interacting with people, her fashionable dress and her foregiving heart. She loved talking about the Lord. Remembering and cherishing fond memories are: Angela Herring Hilliard, a caring, attentive cousin who was also Margie’s caretaker who labored restlessly to care for her; Virginia Herring; Joetta McMillan (Ernest); Ernestine Williams Allen (Keith); Linda Robinson; Ernest Williams and a host of relatives and friends.
