Sargent Frank Edward Allison was called home to eternal rest on April 17, 2025. Born in Tallahassee, Florida, and raised in the close-knit community of The Alley, Frank was the beloved son of the late Henry Lee Allison and Essie Veatrice Allison.
Frank received his formal education at Florida A&M University High School, where he laid the foundation for a life of service, family, and craftsmanship. Shortly after graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he proudly served his country from 1967 to 1970. A proud veteran of the Vietnam War, Frank carried the values of honor, resilience, and loyalty with him throughout his life.
Upon returning home, Frank united in marriage with his devoted wife, Betty Allison. Together, they built a life and shared 54 years of unwavering love and partnership. Their union was blessed with two children, Shane Allison and Erica Allison Rodgers (Theodore) of Orlando, both of whom carry their father's legacy of strength, integrity, and kindness.
Professionally, Frank was a skilled carpenter in the Tallahassee area. Known for his hands-on spirit and steady craftsmanship, he spent many years building, repairing, and improving homes and spaces for his family, friends, and community.
In his personal life, Frank found great joy in peddling around the house, always fixing things for his loved ones and finding satisfaction in simple, quiet moments. His warm heart, steady hands, and giving spirit made him a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Frank leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Betty Allison; two children, Shane Allison and Erica Allison Rogers; three grandchildren Jasmin, Theodore and Ryleigh Rodgers; three loving sisters, Mary Alice Allen, Earlene Farmer, and Mabel Webster; and three brothers, Larry Allison, Willie Allison, and Howard Allison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Essie Veatrice Allison; two sisters, Barbara Allison Rivers and Nerlene Allison; and one brother, James Allison Sr.
Frank’s legacy of love, service, resilience, and kindness will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.
