David Phillip Meador, a man of unwavering faith and gentle character, passed away peacefully at his home in Tallahassee on February 17, 2026, at the age of 68.
Born in Crab Orchard, West Virginia on January 19, 1958, David was the youngest of four children. It was in those mountains that the foundation of his kindness, humility, and quiet strength was first formed. His journey later led him to Williston, where he spent many meaningful years before ultimately relocating to Tallahassee.
David dedicated a number of years to serving the State of Florida, where he worked with integrity and a strong work ethic that reflected the values he lived by daily.
Above all, David walked closely with God. His devotion to Jesus Christ shaped every part of his life, and his family finds peace knowing he is now rejoicing in the presence of his Savior.
David was preceded in death by his loving parents, Deane and Margaret Meador, along with his two brothers, Kenneth Meador and Richard Meador.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
• His devoted sister, Ama Cadle
• Sisters-in-law, Connie Meador and Sandra Meador
• Close friend and brother in Christ, Bruce Campbell (Wendy Campbell)
David will forever be remembered for his warm presence, gentle spirit, and the deep love he held for his family.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Allen-Williams Mortuary, where excellence meets compassion, for honoring David’s final wishes with grace and dignity.
