Aaron William Storey began his journey of life on February 9, 1983, in New Orleans, Louisiana, born to the late Kathleen Pate Storey and Willie Albert Storey. On October 24, 2024, Aaron was called home and is now in the eternal embrace of his parents and loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories that will continue to resonate with all who knew and loved him. Aaron’s early years were marked by his adventurous and playful spirit, which led him to many places in life. Whether he was exploring new ideas, testing his limits, or making lasting memories with family and friends, Aaron’s curiosity and zest for life were ever-present. As a child, he possessed an infectious energy that brought laughter and light wherever he went. His love for adventure carried him through his later years, whether in the pursuit of education, culinary arts, or the simple joys of life. Aaron attended LB Landry High School, where he developed a strong foundation in academics and discovered a deep love for learning and band. He was a member of the school band, playing both the trumpet and baritone, and was known for his playful sense of humor as a jokester. His pursuit of higher education led him to Baton Rouge Community College, where he studied pharmacy and home health care. Later, driven by a passion for excellence, he earned a degree in Business Administration from Tallahassee State College, graduating with honors. Aaron ultimately devoted his life to the culinary arts, where his warmth and passion for cooking shined brightly. Known for his delicious Italian dishes and signature homemade sauces, he brought joy and comfort to everyone he served. Throughout his career, Aaron held prominent positions, including head chef, lead prep, and inventory manager, always bringing skill, dedication, and a deep love for the craft to his work. He dreamed of opening his own restaurant, which he envisioned as "The Joint," a place where his culinary talents and welcoming spirit could continue to inspire and delight all who walked through its doors. Aaron leaves behind a loving family who will forever honor his memory. He is survived by his beloved children: daughter Takhiah Storey, and sons Aaron, Ahkil, and Kwame Storey, whom he shared with his ex-wife, Latonya Moore. He also leaves behind his granddaughter, Londyn, who brought him much joy. Aaron’s siblings, who held a special place in his heart, include sisters Shelita Casey and Kayreen Storey, and brothers Sam Pate, Daniel Storey, and David Storey. He was preceded in death by his siblings Gary Pate, Joseph Pate, and Sarah Storey, who he now joins in peaceful rest. Aaron also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, each of whom he cherished deeply and inspired through his life and actions. Along with the aunties and uncles he adored. His fiancée, Kimaree Fluellen, also survives him, carrying forward the love and dreams they shared together. Aaron’s legacy is one of love, dedication, joy, and laughter—a life beautifully lived through any storm. He will be missed but never forgotten, forever held in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched and inspired.
